At Mainfreight, sales are the lifeblood of our business. That's why we are looking to join our energetic, enthusiastic team at our airfreight office in Frankfurt am Main to further strengthen our presence in the German market and work on our positive reputation. You will be the driving force between our customers and several teams within Mainfreight and other logistics service providers. You inspire our customers and team members with your friendly and results-orientated approach. You are passionate about pioneering work and can imagine playing a key role in the further expansion of our entire Germany team and the Frankfurt office.

Your role:
  • You are a key member of our office and focus on leading by example. You win new customers for our business and high performance is your claim.
  • You are the link between customers, airlines and our office.
  • You have a high degree of customer-orientation and personal responsibility.
  • The focus is on expanding and establishing customers in the German and neighbouring markets. We focus on customers who bring us long-term partnerships rather than short-term profits.
  • It's about learning from the customer and selling solutions that contribute to the continuous improvement of the customer's logistics chain.
  • You will grow to become a trusted partner to our customers and be their first point of contact.
  • You enjoy preparing quotations, obtaining and comparing rates because you have a significant influence on the profitability of both our business and our customers' business.
  • You have the necessary negotiating skills at all levels to strengthen our purchasing power.
  • You have a strong ambition that drives you and also helps the team to grow.
This role gives you the freedom to proactively seek out and develop future initiatives. With your strong willpower and hands-on mentality, you will be in continuous and intensive dialogue with the whole team, allowing you to actively shape the expansion of our branch! All this arises and develops from an independent, supportive, ambitious and fun team environment.

You are:
  • You have completed training/studies in the field of freight forwarding and logistics or have comparable previous knowledge.
  • A passionate and energetic team member with a strong sales focus ‘Hunter Mentality’ and the desire to develop a successful team.
  • Ideally, you have worked in field sales for some time and have gained regional sales experience in air and sea freight.
  • Operational experience is an advantage, but not a must.
  • You have a professional attitude with an eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • You have a positive and passionate attitude - Easy to deal with!

What is the working culture like?

We are a very flat structured organisation. We have open plan offices and management sit in amongst the team. We do not use the “s” word (staff) and refer to everyone as Team – everyone has a part to play in moving Mainfreight forward and meeting our targets and goals.

We believe in working hard but we also have fun and a laugh while we do it. Our team is empowered to make decisions and have a say in how we do things.
