Operations is like the engine on a container ship! You can't move forward without it. We want to upgrade and get more horsepower at sea, so we are looking for YOU!
We, as Mainfreight, are a medium-sized freight forwarding company based in New Zealand. Our new branch in Munich wants to be on the road to success and we need an ambitious and experienced team member to join us.

What we are looking for:

You are a key member of our office and focus on leading by example. You win new customers for our business and high performance is your claim:
•    Forwarder handling of FCL and LCL shipments and monitoring of international transports
•    Organisation, management and control of the entire transport chain with internal and external service providers
•    Communication with customers, product management and our offices worldwide
•    Customs processing and advice for our customers
•    Preparation of quotations for FCL and LCL

You are:
•    Fluent in German
•    You have completed training/studies in the field of freight forwarding and logistics
•    Experience in sea freight import and/or export
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
•    Cargowise experience (an advantage)
•    Good German and English skills (written and spoken)
•    May have experience in sea freight order processing
•    Ability to work in a team, flexibility, organisational skills, structured and result-oriented work

What is the working culture like?

We are a very flat structured organisation. We have open plan offices and management sit in amongst the team. We do not use the “s” word (staff) and refer to everyone as Team – everyone has a part to play in moving Mainfreight forward and meeting our targets and goals.

We believe in working hard but we also have fun and a laugh while we do it. Our team is empowered to make decisions and have a say in how we do things.
