ABOUT THE ROLE

You’re an important link between our customers and our service providers (shipping companies, haulage companies, etc.), you pull the strings for planning and transport, so “relationship building” is your middle name. You’ll also be responsible for:

  •      Processing of export orders FCL & LCL from A to Z: Coordination of freight availability, deadlines, closings and customer requests

  •      Contribution of specialist knowledge to ensure smooth customs process

  •      Optimization of processes and pricing activities related to direct order processing

  •      Collaboration in the global Mainfreight network 

  •      Daily contact via email and phone with customers and team in EU and around the world


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR A TEAM MEMBER WHO:

  •      Is a great character that fits our team

  •      Has a high level of customer service and a solution orientated way of working

  •      Is committed, communicative, and enjoys working together at an international level

  •      Has a willingness to learn, open-minded, and no fear of new challenges

  •      May have experience in sea freight order processing

  •      Good command of spoken and written German (or Dutch is an advantage) and English - additional languages are a bonus

What is the working culture like?

We are a very flat structured organisation. We have open plan offices and management sit in amongst the team. We do not use the “s” word (staff) and refer to everyone as Team – everyone has a part to play in moving Mainfreight forward and meeting our targets and goals.

We believe in working hard but we also have fun and a laugh while we do it. Our team is empowered to make decisions and have a say in how we do things.
