Opening of our Sales Office in Nanning, China

We are pleased to announce the official opening of Mainfreight Nanning sales office on 7th Jun.

Nanning, a city in southern China is the capital of the Guangxi region, a modern city with harmonious coexistence of many ethnic groups. It is the centre of Guangxi politics, economy, culture and transportation, making Nanning a fundamental city of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. Green is the symbol for Nanning as half of the region is covered by rich evergreen scenery. It is known as “the Green City of China”.
Nanning Wuxu International Airport (NNG). It is located 32 km southwest of the centre of the city. Qinzhou Port also known as (the Port of Beibu Gulf) is the major sea port and it is 110 km south of  Nanning, Guangxi. China opened its first sea-rail intermodal container terminal (Beibu Gulf Port Automated Container Terminal) in Qinzhou Port which processed over 6 million TEU in the year 2022. 

Nanning is near the Vietnam border, connected with the countries of Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore & down to Indonesia.
China witnessed a year-on-year trade increase of 15% with ASEAN countries in 2022. China’s imports and exports to ASEAN came to US$970 billion in 2022 (source from China General Admin Customs)
In 2022, China’s imports and exports to ASEAN by railway, sea, and air increased by 197.6%., 26.7%, and 15.5% respectively. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement has lowered the cost of trade and facilitated the integration of industrial chains. Nanning plays an increasingly important part as the supply chain and logistics hub between China and ASEAN trade. Hence, the strategically set up of Mainfreight Shenzhen.
