MAINFREIGHT GETS THE TRUCK SAFE TICK FOR ROAD SAFETY
To ensure that we are safe and complaint on the road, we are always looking for new opportunities to develop our objective in training and safety in every aspect of our business.
We were recently accredited with the Truck Safe tick; making us one of Australia’s safest trucking operators. Truck Safe is a business and risk management system striving to improve safety initiatives for operators and provide safe management systems to ensure the ever-changing business needs of the industry are met.
Being accredited meant our branches and vehicles went through the audit process to the highest of road safety standards in all areas of management, maintenance, training and workplace and driver health.
What the truck safe tick means for Mainfreight and our road safety initiatives?
As a Truck Safe accredited member we operate on a much higher level of road safety than industry average, reducing risks through safe work practices, safe and well maintained trucks and healthy drivers.
Maureen Kemp, our National Compliance Manager, noted that the program was appropriate choice “as their team of experts is able to provide us with up to date changes in legislation and advice on all matters concerning road safety.”
