All about Mainfreight Romania
Our Romanian team has been servicing our customers in Romania and Europe for 30 years now. We have our own domestic distribution network, covering the important areas of Romania by having strategic hubs in Ploiești, Timișoara, Cluj and Bacău.Having roots established in our country since 1992, known as Dijkman Ion Transport, the company has been through several changes. Since 2006 part of Wim Bosman Group which has been taken us to 2011 and nowadays where we’re known as Mainfreight. In present, Mainfreight operates in Romania with complete Warehousing, VAL & Co-Packing and Transport services, not to mention the Inbound and Customs Clearance ones where we act as our own Customs Broker.
Our Main Hub in Ploiesti is advantageously located next to the ring road of Ploiesti, being at 60 km North of Bucharest. This position makes it easier to access every side of the country, either through the highway (A3) or straight access to the mountain side (114 km to Brasov). On top of that, we are continuously expanding and developing in a manner that we have managed to build 3 hubs through the country, in Cluj (2012), Bacau (2018) and Timisoara (2019), getting up to 300 team members.
With time, we have enriched our experience on various clients from totally different environments, from global players in the white & brown goods, to Fast Moving Consumer Goods, beverages, food products, pharmaceutical, medical equipment & supplies, pharmaceutical, high value machinery, construction & DYI, stocking and repairing pallets and even customers from oil & gas industry or ADR goods, making sure that our services are adding value to our clients, as well as the end customers.
As future plans, besides our current 10.000m2 expanding warehouse project in Ploiesti (getting up to 30.000m2 in total), we’re looking forward to developing our current Transport Hubs by adding Warehouse Hubs next to them, as well as prospecting the market in terms of future hubs.
