Owens Transport, our dedicated in-house wharf cartage division/brand is starting 2014 off with a bang! The Sydney team will take up residence in their new purpose built facility in early March 2014.

Mirroring our investment in new premises we have also sourced a brand new container reach stacker to ensure new efficiencies and tangible time saving benefits to pass on to you, our customers. Ideally located in Port Botany, the move will ensure our team have full control over all aspects of operations prompting improved productivity as we will no longer be dictated by the equipment and stevedores at the Sydney port terminals.

Cameron Clode, Owens National Manager, notes “this new site will be a boom for our Sydney operation”. The hardstand area will be 9,000m2 allowing us to operate the new container reach stacker and hold a capacity of over 500 TEU (twenty foot equivalent unit – shipping container). 

A 3,500m2 warehouse, large awning area and depot operations will ensure we receive, store and dispatch your product with maximum efficiency. With quarantine and bond licensing on site we will offer a full suite of services ensuring we continue our growth and add further value to our customers.
